Sacred Space changes everything.
In this transitional time an ancient awareness is re-emerging: a sensitivity and attunement toward ourselves and our surroundings. We are returning to nature. With our awakening sensitivity, many of us seek to create sanctuary within our homes and ourselves. We want practices that help us to maintain our center. As above, so below. As within, so without. The inner space reflects the outer space, and as such, the home and the person are intrinsically connected.
Sacred herbs, plants and resins have been used by indigenous peoples and wisdom-keepers for healing, clearing, anointing and for sealing personal, shared and ceremonial space since time immemorial.
Many of us use Sage or Palo Santo as part of our daily rituals, but there may be other smudges and smokes that are more aligned with our intentions.
In this 2-hour seminar we will cover:
- Historical uses of smudges
- What different smokes are used for
- How to work with herbs for specific reasons
- Smudging meditation with different smudges
